A man was injured in the Food Lion parking lot Monday morning when his vehicle rolled over his leg.
Hopkinsville police investigated and a report says 67-year old Frederick Johnson of Cadiz attempted to toss a cigarette out of his window and feared it may have blown back in when he saw smoke coming from the rear seat.
He pulled into Food Lion and thought he placed his truck in park as he checked the rear seat, but the vehicle rolled backward and knocked him down, with the left front tire rolling over his leg.
Johnson was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
