The YMCA of Hopkinsville is hosting an open house event on January 8 and the community is invited to attend and see what programs they have to offer.
Joe Wilson with the YMCA appeared on WHOP recently and says the open house will take place that Saturday starting at 8:30 a.m. and they will have vendors, information and samples of different classes on hand for people to try out.
Wilson says the YMCA has been providing upwards of 1,500 meals a week to those in need locally through their food programs, and they are always accepting donations to go to that cause and others.
The Polar Bear Plunge, a fundraiser for the YMCA, is set to take place February 5, with the final day to register for the event being January 22. For more information about the Polar Bear Plunge, the open house, or any other program or event, contact the YMCA at (270) 887-5382.
