The YMCA of Hopkinsville is expanding their tutoring efforts for students in the community, as well as their feeding program.
Senior Program Director Joe Wilson appeared on WHOP Monday morning and says they’ll be having several math tutors available for students who need a little extra help in the community—and you don’t have to be a member of the YMCA to take advantage of it.
Starting on Wednesday, they will also have ACT prep workshops from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.—that offering will happen each Wednesday.
The YMCA is partnering with Freddy’s restaurant in a fundraiser where people can go eat there from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday and a portion of the sales will go towards the YMCA backpack feeding program.
The YMCA is always accepting donations to help keep programs like this, along with many others, going to benefit children and others in the community. For more information on how to get involved, or to donate, contact the YMCA at (270) 887-5382.
