Madisonville jumped out to an early 14-0 lead and didn’t look back in a 44-14 victory over Christian County Friday night at the Stadium of Champions. Running back Lajuan McAdoo had a big night for the Maroons, rushing for 176 yards on 23 carries and scored two touchdowns. Madisonville rushed for 249 yards and passed for 107 for a total of 356 yards in 55 plays.
Christian County quarterback Jordan Miles threw for two scores, one of 25 yards to Ja Sean Riley right before halftime and then a late TD pass of 50 yards to KJ Vaughn. Miles was 8-16 for 121 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. KI Vaughn caught two passes for 59 yards and a score with Ja Sean Riley catching three passes for 43 yards and a score. AJ Harvey was Christian County’s leading rusher with six carried for 21 yards. The Colonels had 121 yards passing and -15 yards rushing for a total of 106 yards on the night.
Christian County fell to 1-3 while Madisonville improved to 2-2. The Colonels host Hopkinsville next Friday at the Stadium of Champions at 7 pm.
