Hopkinsville police continue to investigate a fatal shooting from Sunday morning on Hazel Street.
A person who had been sought for questioning, thirty-nine-year-old Leon Grimes of Hopkinsville was located and had not been arrested as of Sunday evening.
As previously reported, there was an outdoor 4th of July party on Hazel Street just south of East 21st Street when 28-year old Calvin Buckner of Jan Drive, Hopkinsville was shot in the chest just after 3:30 a.m.
Buckner was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
The incident report says a .40 caliber pistol and magazine loaded with six rounds was seized in the investigation.
