Although there’s still no official word from Austin Peay, a report Sunday indicated men’s basketball coach Matt Figger has resigned his position to become the new head coach at UT Rio Grande Valley. Figger would replace Lew Hill, who died February 7th due to complications from COVID-19 and lingering medical issues. Hill had planned to step down after five seasons with the program. In his four seasons with Austin Peay, Figger amassed a 76-51 record.
