Tennessee downs Kansas/ Vanderbilt defeats South Carolina

Yves Pons had a game high 17 points as Tennessee downed Kansas 80-61 in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. The Vols improved to 12-3 with the win and return to action Tuesday night at Ole Miss.

Vanderbilt won its first Southeastern Conference game of the season defeating South Carolina 93-81. Maxwell Evans led the Commodores with 29 points as Vandy went to 5-8 overall and 1-6 in the SEC. Next up is a Wednesday night date at Texas A&M.
