ESPN reports the University of Tennessee is not extending contracts of football assistants and are imposing a hiring freeze. The school is investigating possible recruiting violations within the program. Earlier this week, the university announced it had hired two attorneys to assist house counsel and compliance officials in the internal investigation. The attorneys have been interviewing current players about alleged improper benefits and other rules violations.
