Christian County Public Schools are moving full speed ahead after returning from fall break, and the number of COVID-19 cases related to the schools continues to decline.
As of Tuesday afternoon, there are only 11 active cases of COVID-19, three of which are in person students, two are in the Virtual Learning Academy and six of the cases are faculty and staff. Assistant Superintendent Josh Hunt says they continue to work closely with local health officials and feel confident that they’re able to safely keep students in school.
He says that a lot of students—about 675 of them—will be returning to in-person instruction from the Virtual Learning Academy in the next week.
Families will keep the option of being able to enroll in the learning academy if they so choose. Hunt says they are continuing to regularly check with how students and staff are feeling as they return from fall break, and are maintaining those health guidelines, such as strict mask wearing where social distancing is not possible.
