The Cincinnati Reds and Kansas City Royals traded shutouts in a doubleheader split in Kansas City. The Royals won the opener 4-0 while the Reds took the nightcap 5-0. The Reds open a weekend series in St. Louis this evening with pregame at 6:45 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.

Brennaman then handed off play-by-play duties to Jim Day. The Reds released a statement denouncing Brennaman’s comments and promptly suspended him.
