Marshall County man killed in motorcycle accident

A Marshall County man was killed in a motorcycle accident Sunday night in Paducah.

It happened a few minutes after 8 p.m., according to Paducah police, who say 24-year old Chase Hansen of Calvert City had been northbound on the Beltline Overpass on US 60 when he lost control of his Yamaha motorcycle while passing another vehicle.

The front tire struck a curb, throwing Hansen from the motorcycle and over a guardrail.

The McCracken County coroner pronounced Hansen dead at the scene.
