Updated: Man killed in industrial accident Wednesday evening

A man died in an industrial accident Wednesday afternoon at Metalsa in Hopkinsville.

EMS was called to the factory on Bill Bryan Boulevard about 6:45 p.m. for a man in an accident involving an automated welding cell, according to Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Michael Pendleton.

Christian County Coroner Scott Daniel was called several minutes after crews arrived and says 58-year old Michael Curcio of Hopkinsville died at the scene.

No other details on the incident were immediately available.
