Benton man killed in Lyon County crash

A Marshall County man was killed in an accident Friday night near Eddyville.

A news release from Kentucky State Police says 27-year old Jeffery Barrett of Benton was northbound on KY 93 on a motorcycle when a southbound car driven by 27-year old Mark Driver of Eddyville attempted to turn left onto KY 3305 and drove into his path.

The motorcycle and car collided and Barrett was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lyon County Coroner.

Driver and his passengers were not injured.
