Horse Racing
The New York Racing Association said Thursday it’s committed to holding the Belmont Stakes this year. The third leg of the Triple Crown is scheduled for June 6, but the NYRA said it could be moved to a later date. The Kentucky Derby has been moved from May 2 to September 5, while there’s been no announcement on whether the Preakness Stakes will remain on May 16 after infield activities for the race have already been canceled.

Tennis
The United States Tennis Association says it will make a decision by June on whether to postpone or cancel the U.S. Open. The USTA hopes to be able to play as scheduled in late August, but calls the prospect of holding a grand slam tournament without spectators highly unlikely.
