Todd County has had a sixth person test positive for COVID-19.
Public Health Director Jen Harris says an adult with other underlying health conditions was tested Friday and the result came back positive Tuesday. The patient has mild symptoms and was already in quarantine due to a connection with Todd County’s first confirmed case.
If investigation turns up any additional direct contacts, they will be notified.
Harris says, “This contact did exactly what we asked and has remained quarantined. This example shows the importance of completing the 14-day quarantine or isolation period. Symptoms can show up at any time during the quarantine period.”
