Todd County Judge-Executive Todd Mansfield and the mayors of Elkton, Guthrie and Trenton have declared a local state of emergency due to COVID-19.
Judge Mansfield says in his order that it is a necessary step in the process to “allow local governments to provide timely and effective services to everyone in the county.” The judge stresses that it does not indicate that Todd County is at any greater risk now or that drastic actions are necessary.
The judge urges citizens to continue using social distancing and regular handwashing practices to keep themselves and their families healthy.
