A vehicle pursuit that began in Lyon County Sunday morning ended in Marshall County with a foot pursuit and arrest.
A Kentucky state trooper attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 28-year old Damontez Brown of Paducah for speeding on I-24 at about 9:20 a.m., but Brown allegedly kept driving and went into the Eddyville city limits.
The trooper terminated the pursuit due to the amount of traffic, but a Lyon County deputy located Brown later and resumed the pursuit.
KSP rejoined on Interstate 69 and Brown then got back onto I-24. Marshall County deputies used spike strips near the 25 mile-marker, causing the car to come to a stop a short distance later.
Brown was arrested after a short foot pursuit and was charged with wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, criminal mischief and several other crimes.
