If you intend to run for partisan office in the May primary election, then Friday afternoon is the deadline to apply.
Christian County Elections Coordinator Melinda Humphries says have your paperwork filed at the clerk’s office by 4 p.m. Friday if you intend to run for Hopkinsville City Council.
She says it’s a good idea to get there well before the final few minutes to be sure all paperwork is in order.
Todd County residents also have until 4 p.m. Friday to file for the county clerk special election.
The deadline to file for state representative, state senator, U.S. senator and U.S. representative is 4 p.m. Eastern time at the Kentucky Secretary of State’s Office in Frankfort.
