Women’s action Sunday saw Austin Peay trail by 10 with 2:02 remaining in the game and comeback not only to tie Illinois State at 68, but win in overtime 77-72. The Lady Governors conclude non-conference play 9-2 and welcome UT Martin for a 5:30 game Thursday to begin Ohio Valley Conference play at the Dunn Center.
22nd ranked Tennessee routed Howard 88-38. The Lady Vols are 10-2 and begin Southeastern Conference play Thursday afternoon hosting Missouri.
Vanderbilt downed Columbia 72-51 to improve to 10-3 on the season. Vanderbilt hosts Auburn in their SEC opener Thursday night in Nashville.
Seventh ranked Louisville edged Syracuse 62-58. The Cardinals improved to 12-1 and begin ACC play Thursday night against Clemson.
Tonight’s Games: Austin Peay is on the road at Georgia. The Governors bring a 6-6 record into the 6 pm tipoff at Stegman Coliseum.
Vanderbilt is also in action hosting Davidson. The Commodores are 7-4 with tipoff at 7 in Memorial Gym.
