MLB Roundup

The winter meetings are wrapping up in San Diego. The Cincinnati Reds have been linked to a slugger in the process. A report from MLB Network states the Reds have shown interest in slugger Kole Calhoun. The outfielder hit .232 with a career-high 33 home runs for the Los Angeles Angels this past season.

Former St. Louis Cardinals starter Michael Wacha appears to be heading east. The right-hander has agreed to a one-year deal with the New York Mets, pending a physical. When finalized, the deal guarantees him three-million-dollars for 2020 and includes incentives that could net him 10-million. Wacha was the NLCS MVP in 2013. He finished last season 6-and-7 with a 4.76 ERA.

The Los Angeles Angels are adding a big free-agent bat. The Halos have agreed to a reported seven-year, 245-million-dollar contract with Anthony Rendon. The 29-year-old third baseman batted .319 with 34 home runs for the Washington Nationals this year, helping them to a World Series championship. Rendon finished third in NL MVP Voting.
