14-year-old injured in Clarksville crash expected to recover
A man was arrested for his second DUI following a wreck Monday night on Glass Avenue.
Hopkinsville police responded to the crash about 9:20 p.m. as an off duty Oak Grove police officer waited with the driver, 27-year old Shawn Duncan of Hopkinsville.
Duncan reportedly told the officer he had been drinking and said he crashed after a deer ran into his path.
An arrest citation says two bottles of alcohol fell out of the vehicle when it flipped and that Duncan had slurred speech and smelled of alcohol.
He was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for a blood test, which he agreed to and was arrested for DUI, second offense.
Duncan was additionally served with a warrant for failing to appear in court for the previous DUI.
