A new principal has been named at Freedom Elementary School.
Renisha Elam comes to the district from Paducah Middle School, according to a news release, which says she’s served the last two years there as an assistant principal. She taught English at Hopkinsville High School for several years, before transitioning to the Christian County School System central office in 2015 as a grant facilitator/intervention specialist.
She also spent several years as a speech pathologist in several districts.
Elam is quoted as saying, ‘I am grateful to be back in Christin County, working alongside dedicated people who are committed to helping students reach their full potential. I am excited to have the opportunity to lead and serve the wonderful students, faculty/staff and community of Freedom Elementary.’
