The Western Kentucky State Fair kicks off Friday night with all of the traditional popular attractions and with a concert in the grandstand pits.
Gates open at 5 p.m. and rides at 6 with $15 arm bands available.
The annual pedal pulls competition will get underway at 6 in front of the fairgrounds convention center.
The Justin Reynolds Band will perform at 7 p.m. in the pits and Reynolds says they’re a country band who plays a variety of music.
Tony Meacham is the fair board chair and says the cost of admission to the fair hasn’t changed and they’ll have a schedule full of fun activities for nine days.
