Ninth-ranked North Carolina avenged an earlier loss to Louisville with a 79-69 road win over the 15th ranked Cardinals. The Cardinals (16-6, 7-2-ACC) cut a 19-point deficit to 58-49 midway through the second half but came no closer. Dwayne Sutton had 19 points and Christen Cunningham 15 with nine assists for Louisville, who returns to action Monday night at 12th ranked Virginia Tech.
