14-year-old injured in Clarksville crash expected to recover
A Hopkinsville woman was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a collision on Lindwood Drive Wednesday afternoon.
According to a police report, a vehicle driven by 62-year old Thelma Brown of Hopkinsville was travelling on Lindwood Drive and stopped at the stop sign at McLean Avenue. At that moment, a vehicle operated by 27-year old Jessica Lopez of Oak Grove was travelling behind Brown and failed to stop.
She struck the back of Brown’s vehicle. Lopez told officers her daughter in the backseat had told her something, which had distracted her and she was unable to avoid a collision.
Brown was taken to Jennie Stuart for neck and back pain. No occupants in Lopez’s vehicle complained of any injuries.
