Owen Bussell
Two men have been charged in connection with a 2017 attempted robbery and shooting incident on Greenville Road.
Warrants for 19-year old Juandez Bussell and 19-year old Tequan Owen of Hopkinsville allege they worked together in a September 30th, 2017 incident where Lawrence Smith was shot in the leg.
Police say Smith struggled with Bussell and Owen at a doorway, allowing females inside the home to escape out a back door.
Shell casings were recovered from the scene that were identified as the same type of ammunition that was fired in previous robberies that Bussell and Owen were allegedly involved with—including the robbery of a Circle K gas station in October of last year.
Both suspects were already in the Christian County Jail and are facing new counts of first-degree robbery.
