More details have been released concerning a man who walked away from Better Senior Living in Cadiz on Tuesday and was found deceased two days later.
According to a news release from the Trigg County Coroner’s Office, 59-year old Terry “Tom” Hooper was found deceased Thursday morning in an open area near the edge of the facility’s back property. An autopsy performed by the Medical Examiner’s Officer in Madisonville determined that Hooper died due to an ‘acute medical event’.
It says the medical event, which is not specified, combined with exposure to the elements that increased the medical emergency, and both were factors in his death.
The report is a preliminary one, and the Coroner’s Office will release a final report once the laboratory and toxicology results are returned.
