The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library will soon have a new executive director, as one was chosen Monday night by the Library Board to begin in late March.
DeeAnna Sova will serve in the position and says she is thrilled to have been chosen and is excited to begin working toward their shared goals and plans.
She says she wants the library to be the best it can and she wants it to be a go-to place for both kids and adults to use the services they offer.
Sova says she’ll spend time before her first day to educate herself on funding, revenue and other items that fall under her duties, including making a budget, management of the library and improving the facility.
Sova submitted her notice of resignation from her position at Jennie Stuart Medical Center Tuesday morning and has a tentative start date at the library of March 26.
She replaces Nancy Jean Brinker, who left in July when her husband accepted a job in Cincinnati.
