Two more weaker tornadoes touched down in Christian Co.

A survey team from the National Weather Service in Paducah found two additional tornado tracks from Saturday’s severe weather.

An EF0 tornado with maximum winds of 85 mph touched down at 8:44 p.m. between Madisonville Road and Lake Morris Road and went back into the clouds five and a half miles later eight miles northeast of Hopkinsville on the northwest side of Greenville Road.

One camper trailer was overturned, hundreds of trees had broken limbs and some trees were uprooted.

A second EF0 tornado touched down at 8:55 p.m. along KY 189 one mile west of the Todd County line. It only stayed on the ground for a half-mile and had maximum winds of 65 mph.

Two garages and farm buildings sustained minor roof damage and a few tree limbs were broken. There was an eyewitness account of both tornadoes, according to the National Weather Service.

Unlike the tornado in Hopkinsville, there were no injuries associated with the weaker twisters in the northeast part of Christian County.
