Leftover snow has caused a few changes in the Hopkinsville-Christian County NAACP’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Day commemoration, but the march and service will go on.
The school challenge, day care challenge, youngest and oldest marcher contest and poster contest have all been canceled. The march will still begin at 10 a.m. from the Boys and Girls Club on Walnut Street and conclude at Durrett Avenue Baptist Church, where the service will begin at 11.
The keynote speaker is the Rev. C.R. Miller, who is pastor of Moores Baptist Church. Rev. Johnny Deeds is host pastor and the service will be followed by lunch
