A Hopkinsville man is charged with burglary and assault after he allegedly crawled through the window of his ex-girlfriend’s home and assaulted her early Saturday morning.
An arrest citation for 35-year old Duane Ramsey of Hopkinsville says ECC received a call of a disturbance and all they could hear was female yelling “no stop.”
The victim told officers that Ramsey had entered her home through the window, pulled her hair and shoved her into the wall causing the drywall to break. He also allegedly threatened to kill her.
Police say Ramsey reentered the home while officers spoke to the victim and then fled the home on foot from the rear door into a wood line.
He was soon caught and arrested for first-degree burglary, fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and fleeing or evading police.
