The City of Crofton will be hosting a forum Sunday for the public about renovating the North Christian Veterans Memorial Park.
The hope is to gain public support for the project and honor the men and women that have served and presently serve in the armed forces. The City is working with the North Christian Veterans Board and it is their intention to renovate and expand the current park, according to a news release.
The overall scope of the project will cover the installation of new granite monuments representing all branches of service, engraved names of veterans, six flag poles and flags for each branch, Missing in Action and Prisoners of War and the American Flag. New commercial lighting, new concrete work and landscaping are also in the works.
The City of Crofton wants anyone interested to attend the meeting on Sunday at 2 p.m. For more information, call Crofton City Hall at 270-424-5111. **
