Dry, sunny weather is sticking around for a couple more days, but then another cold front moves into the area and brings with it a chance for rain and thunderstorms.
Fall-like temperatures have been in place the past few days, but a warm front Wednesday will put temperatures near the 80’s—bring a small chance of rain—before another cold front moves back into the area, bringing a much better chance of rain and some storms around Friday.
Derrick Snyder with the National Weather Service in Paducah says they don’t expect much in the way of severe weather right now, but they’re keeping an eye on it.
Rain chances linger through the weekend, though those chances decrease into Saturday and Sunday.
Things are starting to dry out into a drought status once again in far western Kentucky and areas to our north, though the Pennyrile region remains out of any drought category at this time.
