CCHD out of COVID vaccines, flu vaccines still available

The Christian County Health Department is out of COVID-19 vaccines until further notice, due to high demand and limited amounts of updated vaccines.

According to a news release, the health department has administered all given doses and are unable to provide COVID-19 vaccines until further notice. Officials says orders have been placed to receive more vaccines, but due to ongoing supply issues across the nation, it could be some time before additional vaccines arrive. They will provide an update on availability as soon as possible.

All flu vaccines remain available at the health department, including regular and high-dose for those 65 years of age and up, with no appointment necessary.

The Christian County Health Department is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed for lunch from noon to 12:40 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.
