It entered southwestern Kentucky in Fulton County just before 9 p.m. and struck Bremen about 11:50.
The historic tornado also caused major damage, injuries and deaths in towns all along its path.
The tornado began in Tennessee and continued east from Muhlenberg County in to the Louisville weather office service region.
