The weather is going to feel and act like spring this week, with warming temperatures and a chance for rain.
Forecaster Rachel Trevino with the National Weather Service in Paducah says warm temperatures will return with gradual warming throughout the week, before a slight cool off when the rain moves into Wednesday into Thursday.
At this time, she says they’re not expect severe weather for this area, but it’s likely everyone will see at least some rainfall and maybe hear some thunder.
Areas along the Kentucky-Tennessee border could see an inch and a half of rain, with isolated higher amounts certainly possible.
In the 8-to-14 day outlook, things are trending cooler temperature wise and drier than average, with Trevino saying they’re keeping an eye on some cold temperature shots towards the end of the month.
