Driver fatigue is suspected as a factor in a single-vehicle accident from Friday afternoon in Princeton that injured the driver.
Princeton police investigated and say 17-year old James Cotton of Fredonia was westbound on Marion Road about 4 p.m. when his vehicle crossed over the on-coming lane and left the roadway.
His car then struck an embankment, causing it to roll over several times and come to rest on its side.
Cotton reportedly told officers that the collision occurred because he fell asleep and that he was wearing a seatbelt.
Cotton was transported to Baptist Health in Paducah by Caldwell County EMS for treatment of injuries.
