Ky. COVID positivity rate falls below ten percent

The COVID-19 positivity rate in Kentucky has dropped back below 10 percent, as the state recorded 7,402 new cases in the last week.

The positivity rate fell from 11.96 last week down to 9.01 percent, showing that the data continues to indicate a decline in new cases.  The death toll has reached 16,969, with 67 newly reported deaths in the last week.

There are currently 398 individuals in the hospital with COVID-19, 62 in the ICU and 24 on a ventilator.  On the community spread level map, Christian, Todd and Trigg counties—along with the majority of surrounding counties, are labelled as ‘green’.
