UK Men’s Basketball, Florida A&M to Play in 2022 Unity Series

LEXINGTON, Ky. – After a successful launch to the series in 2021, the Unity Series returns on Dec. 21 with the Kentucky men’s basketball team hosting Florida A&M. The Unity Series is a five-year partnership with the Southwestern Athletic Conference’s to play an annual game between Kentucky and one of the SWAC’s member institutions inside of Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center.

 

Cardinals Announce 2022-23 ACC Schedule

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville women’s basketball schedule is now complete as the ACC announced the 18-game conference slate Wednesday morning. Official tip times and TV designations will be released at a later date. The Cardinals are set for nine conference home games as part of the ACC slate. The four conference opponents they will face at home and on the road this season include Notre Dame, Pitt, Syracuse and Boston College. The Cards begin the New Year in Durham. Louisville will face off with Duke on New Year’s Day and North Carolina on Sunday, February 5.

 

Cardinals Announce 2022-23 Schedule

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Nineteen home games in the KFC Yum! Center, top-level competition in the Maui Jim Maui Invitational, a clash with Maryland in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge, three intrastate foes and a rigorous ACC slate highlight the University of Louisville’s full 2022-23 men’s basketball schedule released Tuesday. The Cardinals will host seven non-conference tilts at home, along with two exhibitions and 10 league contests in head coach Kenny Payne’s first season at the helm. The schedule includes three games against in-state competition – Western Kentucky, as well as a visit to Kentucky being two of them. Including the Cardinals’ 20-game ACC schedule, at least 15 of the Cardinals’ 31 games will be played against teams that participated in postseason competition last season, including at least 10 from the 2022 NCAA Tournament field and Six of the eight teams in the Maui Jim Maui Invitational participated in the 2022 NCAA Tournament. Numerous UofL opponents are ranked among the ESPN way-too-early Top 25, including non-conference foes No. 4 Kentucky and Maui Invitational participants No. 7 Creighton, No. 9 Arkansas, No. 16 Arizona, No. 23 San Diego State and No. 24 Texas Tech. Three ACC teams are also included in those rankings in No. 1 North Carolina, No. 5 Duke and No. 18 Virginia. The Cardinals will have home games against postseason tournament participants Wright State on Nov. 12 and Appalachian State on Nov. 15. Louisville will face Arkansas in the first round of the Maui Jim Maui Invitational on Nov. 21. The winners from the Louisville-Arkansas matchup will face the winner of the Texas Tech-Creighton contest on Nov. 22. Louisville returns home to play Maryland in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge on Nov. 29.  The Cardinals will have more home non-conference games in the KFC Yum! Center in the month of December, highlighted by Western Kentucky on Dec. 14. UofL will visit intrastate rival Kentucky in Lexington on New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31). Louisville will play three ACC matchups in the month of December, starting Dec. 4 at home against Miami. The Cardinals will also travel to Florida State on Dec. 10 and NC State on Dec. 22. After concluding the non-conference schedule at Kentucky, UofL resumes ACC play with four of the next five at home. Louisville plays three of its last four on the road. In total, 12 of Louisville’s first 19 regular season games will be played at home. Fans will have an initial chance to see the Cardinals in the preseason next month with Louisville Live at Louisville Slugger Field on Oct. 21, followed by the Red and White Scrimmage on Oct. 23 at the KFC Yum! Center. Ticket information will follow at a later date.

 

WKU Men’s Basketball 2022-2023 Schedule

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – With 20 Conference USA games and 11 non-conference contests, 16 home games, with two exhibitions, and at least two Power Five contests. The Hilltoppers will start the year in the Bluegrass state at Eastern Kentucky. WKU will then travel to the Cayman Islands Classic for three contests during the week of Thanksgiving. The Hilltoppers start off the bracket against the Zips of Akron on Nov. 21 at 12:30 p.m. CT. They will then play either Illinois State or LSU on Nov. 22 followed by the final game on Nov. 23. WKU travels to Austin Peay on Nov. 30. WKU ends its non-conference slate with two Power Five opponents on the road. The Hilltoppers will play in the KFC Yum! Center for the first time since 2020 as they take on the Louisville Cardinals. The Hilltoppers take on another Power Five opponent in South Carolina in Columbia, S.C., on Dec. 22 to finish the non-conference schedule. With 11 total teams in C-USA for the 2022-23 season, the league campaign includes a home and away contest against every league school with 20 conference games overall. The Hilltoppers kick off the C-USA schedule on Dec. 29 in Diddle Arena. WKU travels the short way down the road for its next game against Middle Tennessee on New Year’s Eve. WKU returns home to face off against reigning C-USA West Division champion North Texas on Jan. 5 before taking two games on the road: at UTSA on Jan. 7 and at 2022 C-USA Tournament Champion UAB on Jan. 11. Middle Tennessee on Feb. 9, with a bye day on that Saturday.
