Governor Andy Beshear was in Greenville Wednesday morning to break ground on a new hangar at Muhlenberg County Airport that will support the Madisonville Community College Fixed Wing Aviation Program.
The governor thanked everyone who played a role in making the project feasible and says the communities involved should be excited.
He reminded that this is only Phase 1, with more developments to come for the airport in the future.
Six million dollars in funding is coming from the county, Kentucky Department of Aviation, Madisonville Community College and the FAA.
