Arraignment held for suspects in Glass Avenue robbery case

Suspects charged in the armed home invasion at the Glass Avenue residence of Charles “Bird Dog” Paige were arraigned Wednesday morning in Christian Circuit Court.

The Christian County Grand Jury recently indicted Korey Zivotin, Isaiah Campbell, Michael Sims, Ajaizion Johnson and Marshall Austin for first-degree robbery for their alleged roles in the incident.

They are accused of entering the home of Paige on June 16 while brandishing a firearm with the intent to commit a robbery. Gunfire was exchanged between the suspects and Paige, with no one injured in the incident. Some of the suspects are also accused of conducting reconnaissance and planning before the home invasion occurred.

Their respective lawyers entered not guilty pleas on their behalf Wednesday morning and Judge John Atkins set the next court date for most of them on September 28, including for Sims.

Austin already has a trial scheduled for September 1 on an unrelated felony theft charge that attorney Olivia Adams and Judge Atkins agreed will have to be postponed if that case isn’t resolved by then.

At least two additional suspects are expected to be charged in connection with the incident that remains under investigation by Hopkinsville police.
