Grand jury to hear cases for two more armed home invasion suspects

A Christian County grand jury will hear two more cases of suspects charged in connection with the June 16 armed home invasion at the residence of Charles “Bird Dog” Paige on Glass Avenue.

A preliminary hearing was held Wednesday morning in Christian District Court for 19-year old Isaiah Campbell of Hopkinsville and 30-year old Marshall Austin of Hopkinsville—with both facing complicity to robbery for the incident that Hopkinsville Police Detective Jason Sears says involved seven total suspects.

As previously reported, some of the suspects made forced entry into Paige’s home and at least one exchanged gunfire with Paige with a shotgun—though no one was injured.

Olivia Adams represents Austin and Detective Sears told her he can’t confirm Austin was at the home at the time of the robbery—though he allegedly admitted to doing recognizance prior to the crime.

Sears testified that Austin claims he let someone else drive his motorcycle to the home for the robbery.

There was also testimony that while there are conflicting accounts on whether or not Campbell went into Paige’s home, there are multiple parties involved who say he was involved with the planning activities.

Sears says investigation determined the suspects believed Paige had a stash of money on the property.

Judge Lindsey Adams determined there was probable cause for the cases against both suspects to be heard by a Christian County grand jury.

Judge Adams sent the complicity to robbery case against 18-year old Korey Zivotin to the grand jury last week and Hopkinsville police continue to look for 24-year old Ajaizion Johnson in connection with the incident.
