Eighth District state Representative Walker Thomas will have a rematch with Democrat Pam Dossett in November after a win over Caldwell County Judge-Executive Larry Curling in the GOP primary.
He says he’ll focus on social issues and infrastructure in the general election campaign.
Thomas won Christian County by nearly 1,000 votes, won Trigg County by 550 votes and lost Caldwell County by about 900.
