Christian County & Hopkinsville lose in baseball Friday/Today’s Games

Christian County opened 8th district action with a 16-1, three inning win at Fort Campbell. Brylle Javier and Carter Sholar each had two of the Colonels six hits, with Elijah Underhill hitting a home run. Fort Campbell was held in bay, getting only two hits. Christian County improved to 4-0 and 1-0 in district play while Fort Campbell fell to 0-2 and 0-1 in district action. The teams will play again Monday at Colonel Field at 5:30 with F&M Bank pregame show coverage at 5:15 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP and whopam.com.

McCracken County walked off Hopkinsville 3-2 with a base hit in the bottom of the 7th inning. The Tigers had only two hits which included a triple from Tim Cansler. Zack Moss took the pitching loss in relief of Jacob Dilday. Hopkinsville fell to 0-2 and returns to action Tuesday hosting Caldwell County.

Baseball: Christian County travels to Marshall County, University Heights welcomes Trigg County, Fort Campbell goes to Hopkins Central and Madisonville entertains Paducah Tilghman.

Softball: Christian County has road games with Breckinridge County and Owensboro Catholic at Owensboro Catholic, Todd Central welcomes Caldwell County and Madisonville entertains Livingston Central.
