We should have a relatively warm and calm week of weather in western Kentucky before rain returns for the weekend.
National Weather Service in Paducah Meteorologist Dan Spaeth said during a conference call Monday that it will be warm and dry the next few days and the only concern is an increased risk for wildfires with low humidity.
Rain arrives Saturday and while no major severe weather outbreaks are anticipated at this time, the region could get up to an inch of rain by Monday.
Next week looks to be active, with normal temperatures and above normal precipitation.
