Horses were killed in a barn fire early Thursday morning in the 3600 block of Brady Lane in Christian County.
Square Deal Volunteer Fire Department Chief Keith Sholar says the barn belonging to Elmer Fisher with equipment and horses inside was a total loss at an estimated cost of $250,000, no humans were injured and cause of the blaze is undetermined.
Firefighters from Lafayette, Herndon, Gracey and Northwest assisted in fighting the blaze.
