Regional driver’s license office opening in downtown Hopkinsville Thursday

You will no longer be able to go to the Christian County Justice Center to renew your driver’s license, as the new Kentucky Transportation Cabinet regional office will open Thursday morning at 8 in downtown Hopkinsville.

Christian Circuit Clerk Paige Parker says you can go to that office in the old First City Bank building at the corner of Ninth and Main Streets and renew your credential or get a REAL ID that will eventually be required to fly on a commercial plane or to get on Fort Campbell.

There are numerous regional offices across Kentucky and Parker says she’s happy Hopkinsville was chosen for one.

That website to make an appointment or to renew online is drive.ky.gov and you can also call 502-564-1257 for more information.
