An arrest has been made in connection with a fatal shooting from Wednesday morning on Richard Street.
Hopkinsville police charged 43-year old Daron “Peter” Bell of Hopkinsville with murder.
Officers were called to 607 Richard about 12:30 a.m. and 36-year old Gregory Burse of Richard Street was found unresponsive in the kitchen with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. Burse was transported to Jennies Stuart Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead by Christian County Coroner Scott Daniel.
Bell was identified as a person of interest and he was interviewed at the police department, where he allegedly admitted to the shooting.
He’s lodged in the Christian County Jail.
