Dawson Springs school board chooses Dillingham for vacant seat

The Dawson Springs Independent School System Board chose Kent Dillingham Monday night to fill the board seat that was left vacant when Jennie Bruce was killed in the December 10 tornado that devastated the town.

After discussion of the two applicants in closed session Monday night, Board Chair Vicki Allen announced the recommendation of Kent Dillingham for appointment to the board, which was approved.

There will be a special election in November for the remainder of Bruce’s term, which goes through the end of 2024.
