An inmate escaped from the Muhlenberg County Detention Center early Sunday morning, but was quickly located and arrested.
Greenville Police and Kentucky State Police found an open door at the former South Middle School Building on Pritchett Drive where goods for tornado victims are being housed and surveillance video helped police determine that 22-year old Dallas Ferguson of Frankfort was hiding in the ceiling.
After officers put a ladder into the ceiling, Ferguson gave himself up and was transported back to jail, where he allegedly threatened a jail employee upon his return.
Ferguson was charged with first-degree escape, third-degree burglary, theft and terroristic threatening.
